More than 120 businesses with over 2,500 vacancies at the DYPA "Career Day" in Thessaloniki on 24 February
More than 120 businesses will take part in the "Career Day" organised by the Public Employment Service (DYPA) in Thessaloniki on Saturday 24 February at the Vellidio Congress Centre (3 Stratou Avenue, Thessaloniki 54636), from 10:00 to 18:00.
The event gives jobseekers the chance to hand over their CV and talk directly, without an appointment, to representatives of companies recruiting for more than 2,500 vacancies.

The participating businesses span a wide range of sectors, including food and drink, cosmetics, energy storage systems, furniture, canning, lift and vehicle-parts manufacturing, paints, mining and metals processing, cement and building materials, as well as construction, recycling, transport, telecommunications, IT, wholesale and retail, renewable energy, automotive, services (consulting, medical, legal, accounting, security, customer service and others), marketing, supermarkets, publishing, food service and tourism.
The roles being recruited include: electrical engineers, chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, automation engineers, quality control managers, food technologists, research scientists, project managers, electricians, electronics and automation technicians, product design engineers, machinists, machine operators, welders, plumbers, refrigeration engineers, foremen, warehouse staff, production workers, bakers, pastry chefs, drivers, sales advisers, visual merchandisers, marketing staff (social media and web), graphic designers, office staff, beauticians, health professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, ambulance crew), lawyers, economists, accountants and accounting assistants, call-centre and technical support staff, cleaning staff, security personnel, and roles across the whole IT and tourism spectrum.
Visitors can also attend counselling workshops run by DYPA's specialist employment counsellors, on creating an effective CV, preparing for a job interview, the steps to a successful business idea, and using social networks in the job search.
Participation in the counselling activities is free, on registration at the venue, in order of arrival.
Visitors can also learn about DYPA's initiatives for the European Year of Skills and attend activities run by the vocational apprenticeship schools (EPAS), with staff and students taking part.
Throughout the event, staff from the Medium and Large Enterprise Service Unit (MEMME) will provide information about DYPA's actions and programmes at a dedicated info corner.
