Applicants who submit on time and upload all the documents required by this call, but do so after the number of beneficiaries provided for has already been reached, are recorded as "reserves".
Training allowance: each trainee receives a training allowance of EUR 5 for every confirmed hour of attendance, provided they sit the certification examinations, up to a total of EUR 1,250.
Eligibility — criteria and conditions
The right to take part in the action, and therefore to submit an "Application for participation" for entry in the Register of Beneficiaries to be compiled by the Ministry of Tourism, belongs to individuals — unemployed people and salaried employees — who meet at least the following eligibility criteria (on/off) at the time of application:
a. They are Greek nationals, nationals of European Union member states, and/or third-country nationals legally resident in Greece.
b. They are seasonal workers in tourism businesses, or long-term or temporarily unemployed in the tourism sector, or salaried employees of any business who were employed by tourism businesses during 2020 and/or 2021 and whose employment contracts were suspended because the businesses they worked for temporarily closed or suspended operations under the measures taken to prevent and address the spread of COVID-19.
c. They are aged over 18.
d. Over the past decade they have at least two hundred (200) days of insured work in total in the tourism sector, or in an occupation related to the training subject.
e. Where the applicant is unemployed, they are registered in the DYPA (formerly OAED) unemployment register, whether or not they receive unemployment benefit.
In each training cycle, 5% of places may be filled by people with a disability of over 67%, where there is interest.
To meet criterion (d), candidates must be able to demonstrate work experience in businesses in the following sectors (the eligible activity codes are):
- 55 Accommodation
- 56 Food and beverage service activities
- 77 Rental and leasing activities (sub-categories 77.11, 77.34.10.02, 77.39.13.02)
- 79 Travel agency, tour operator and other reservation service and related activities
- 92 Gambling and betting activities (sub-category 92.00.11.01)
- 93 Sports activities and amusement and recreation activities (sub-categories 93.29.19.08 and 93.29.19.09)
- 96 Other personal service activities (indicatively, sub-categories 96.04.10.03, 96.04.10.04, 96.04.10.07)
Please note that where specific sub-categories are listed, only those sub-categories are eligible; where activity codes are listed indicatively, relevance is assessed by the competent committee when it reviews the application.

Supporting documents
Documents are submitted online and are accepted as clear scanned files (PDF or image) of the originals or of certified copies.
Candidates should take care to upload legible, unblemished documents: they cannot be replaced or supplemented once the application deadline has passed or the places have been filled.
General documents
- A copy of both sides of a valid identity card or passport, or other valid proof of identity.
- Individual Insurance Account statement (https://apps.e-efka.gov.gr/eAccess) — as proof of the Insured Person's Registry Number and of the two hundred (200) days of insured work in total in tourism or in an occupation related to the training subject, or an EFKA certificate of prior service for use with ASEP (https://apps.ika.gr/eCertRegistered/), which is accepted only where it allows the exact number of working days per year to be established.
- Form E3 notification of hiring from the ERGANI information system (or from the former OAED for older hirings), as proof of the activity code under which the minimum required work (200 days) was performed.
- A solemn declaration, digitally signed via https://www.gov.gr/ or certified for authenticity of signature at a Citizens' Service Centre (KEP)

I declare that:
- I am not simultaneously attending another training subject in the same training cycle of Action 16921 "SUB 1: Reskilling and upskilling in tourism".
- I have not attended a training programme on the same subject in the two (2) years before the publication of this call.
- I am not attending and will not attend any other training programme subsidised with European Union funds whose timetable coincides, in whole or in part, with the training programme for which I am applying.
- I have read and accept all the terms of the project under Joint Ministerial Decision no. 10019/17.05.2023 (Government Gazette B' 3428) and of this call.
- On the day of application I am unemployed / employed / seasonally employed at the business named "…" with tax number "…" under a contract of dependent employment. (completed in accordance with article 2.b of this call)
- All the information given in this application and the documents uploaded are accurate and true.
- I have read and consent to the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I agree that my personal data may be used for the purposes of the programme by the Ministry of Tourism, the training and certification providers, the bodies auditing this project and any other body that may cross-check my participation in other projects funded with EU resources. In processing personal data for the purposes of the programme, the Ministry of Tourism's security policy for their protection applies, together with the terms and conditions of the relevant legislation (GDPR).
