An integrated training and employment action for unemployed recipients of the Minimum Guaranteed Income and homeless people
Purpose
To prevent and address unemployment by upgrading the professional knowledge and skills of unemployed people and placing them in subsidised employment.
Beneficiaries
Unemployed people registered in the DYPA unemployment register who are recipients of the Minimum Guaranteed Income (MGI), and homeless people.
Eligible employers
Private businesses and private-sector employers generally that carry on regular economic activity and operate in any region of the country.
Duration
Training lasts eighty (80) hours and employment lasts twelve (12) months.
Subsidy
• The subsidy to businesses amounts to 100% of the total cost (salary and contributions), that is EUR 1,118 per month (EUR 13,416 in total).
• If the business opts for the State aid regime of the General Block Exemption Regulation, the subsidy amounts to 50% of the total cost (salary and contributions).
• The subsidy includes the Christmas and Easter bonuses and the holiday allowance.
PROCEDURE
✓ Businesses submit an application online through gov.gr at:
✓ Businesses select the State aid regime.
✓ Businesses specify the posts, the occupations and the qualifications required.
✓ DYPA confirms that the business meets the conditions, assessing the application within 10 working days.
✓ DYPA puts forward candidates matching the requirements of the post within 5 working days of the inclusion/funding decision being issued.
✓ The business pre-selects from among the candidates within 10 working days.
✓ DYPA notifies the pre-selected unemployed person by any appropriate means within 3 days.
✓ The pre-selected candidate completes an online participation form, chooses and attends a training programme of their choice (office administration or sales), and then sits the certification examinations.
✓ Once certified, the business proceeds with the hire.
